Terms of Service
The terms that govern your use of PointScrape — building extraction flows and running them against pages you choose.
Last updated 19 August 2026
1. Who we are
PointScrape (“we”, “us”, “our”) is operated from Bali, Indonesia. We provide a tool for extracting structured data from web pages: you build an extraction flow, we run a headless browser against the pages you specify, and you receive the result as a downloadable file.
We operate the tool. We do not choose what you point it at, and we do not review targets before a run. Section 4 sets out what that means for your responsibilities.
By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Service.
2. Eligibility and your account
- You must give accurate registration details and keep them current.
- You are responsible for everything that happens under your account, including anything done by someone using your credentials.
- One person or organisation per account. Do not share credentials.
- You must be old enough to enter a contract where you live.
We may suspend or close an account that breaches these Terms. Where the breach is not serious and can be fixed, we will normally tell you first and give you a chance to fix it.
3. Plans, credits and payment
- The Service runs on credits. Each plan includes a monthly allowance, and additional credits can be bought separately.
- Plan credits reset monthly and do not carry over. Purchased top-up credits do not expire while your account is open.
- Subscriptions are billed in advance through PayPal and renew automatically until cancelled.
- You can cancel at any time from the billing page. Cancellation stops the next renewal; it does not refund the period already paid for.
- Prices may change. We will give at least 30 days notice before a change affects a renewal.
Credits measure usage; they are not currency. They have no cash value, cannot be transferred between accounts, and are not refundable except where the law requires it or where a fault on our side consumed them.
4. Acceptable use
This section matters more here than in most services. You are directing an automated browser at systems that belong to other people, and you — not us — decide which ones.
You are responsible for having the right to access and extract from every page you target.
You must not use PointScrape to:
- Access any system in breach of its terms of use, its robots directives, or the instructions of the person who operates it.
- Circumvent authentication, paywalls, rate limits, or any other access control — including by supplying credentials you are not authorised to use.
- Collect personal data where you have no lawful basis to do so, or in breach of data-protection law applying to you or to the people whose data you collect.
- Send request volumes that degrade or disrupt a target system.
- Reproduce or redistribute copyrighted material beyond what the law permits.
- Collect data about children, or special-category personal data, without the safeguards the law requires.
- Break any law that applies to you, or resell the Service as your own scraping product without our written agreement.
We may throttle, suspend, or refuse a run that we reasonably believe breaches this section, and may act without notice where a target system is being harmed.
You indemnify us against claims, losses and costs arising from your use of the Service in breach of this section — including claims brought by an operator of a system you targeted.
5. Data you extract
- Data you extract is yours. We claim no ownership of it.
- We store it only to deliver it to you: results and export files are held so you can download them, and export files are deleted 7 days after they are generated.
- We do not sell it, and we do not use it to train machine-learning models.
- We access it only where you ask us to, or where we must to diagnose a fault or comply with a legal obligation.
What we collect about you, as opposed to what you extract, is covered in the Privacy Policy.
6. Availability
We aim to keep the Service running but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. We may take it down for maintenance, and we may change or remove features.
Scraping depends on systems we do not control. A target site changing its markup, blocking automated traffic, or going offline will cause runs to fail, and that is not a fault in the Service. Credits consumed by a run that failed because of a fault on our side will be restored on request.
7. Liability
The Service is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, we exclude implied warranties, including fitness for a particular purpose and any warranty that extracted data will be accurate or complete.
Our total liability to you in any 12-month period is limited to the amount you paid us in that period. We are not liable for lost profits, lost data, or indirect or consequential loss.
Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
8. Ending the agreement
You can close your account at any time. We may end the agreement on notice, or immediately for a serious breach of section 4.
When an account closes we delete its data on the schedule set out in the Privacy Policy. Export any results you want to keep before closing.
9. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. For a material change we will give notice by email or in the application before it takes effect. Continuing to use the Service after that means you accept the updated Terms.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Indonesia, and any dispute relating to them or to the Service will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Denpasar, Bali, unless applicable consumer law gives you the right to bring proceedings elsewhere.
